Research Interview with Human Resource/Human Capital Professionals

Thank you for your interest in this important research.

EurekaFacts LLC, a Maryland-based market research firm, is examining organizational policies and practices that may impact business travel in the Washington metropolitan area as the region recovers from the pandemic.  The focus of the research effort is to understand patterns of commuting to work and traveling for conferences, training and other business events in the region.  Your knowledge of your organization’s policies and expectations regarding work-from-home and commuter benefits will be invaluable.

If selected for an interview, you will partake in a virtual session that will last no longer than 20 minutes. Upon completion of the final report, we will share summary data with participants, at no charge, to assist with internal evaluation of potential post-pandemic strategies and trends.

All responses are confidential, and any information reported will be in combination with other responses.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is working on this project?

EurekaFacts designs and executes a broad range of research activities to provide actionable insights to our public and private sector clients. We specialize in conducting in-depth interviews in an efficient and effective manner among general and professional audiences. This research effort is being conducted under a contract with Stantec on behalf of a public agency in the Washington metropolitan area.

What is an in-depth Interview?

In-depth interviews involve having a one-on-one conversation with a facilitator who has been trained to conduct the interview in a structured yet conversational manner to make the most of your valuable time. This will be a guided discussion with specific questions and follow-up to more deeply understand your specific organization’s situation. The interview will be held virtually for your convenience.

What is my role? What should I expect during the session?

We are interested in collecting data that will provide insight into how major employers in the Washington metropolitan area will manage where and when their employees will work over the next year. We will ask you to describe any relevant practices or policies regarding work-from-home and commuter benefits. Your insightful responses will allow for a rich discussion of this topic.

What are the benefits of participating in this research effort?

We would be happy to share an executive report summary with you, at no charge, to help inform your company’s telework and return-to-work policies. There are no risks to participation.

How will you protect my privacy?

We will be audio recording this session for note-taking purposes. We will not share your personal information with any client or anyone outside of our project staff. We will only use first names in our discussion. Also, our reports will not include your name and all findings will be discussed as a collective.

Do I have to participate for the entire session?

Participation is voluntary. You can stop at any time, and you do not have to answer questions that you do not want to answer. If you decide you no longer want to participate, you can leave the session early. For reliability of the data and completeness of the research, we do encourage you to provide answers to all questions where you can lend your expertise.

If I have questions, who can I ask?

If you have any questions about the study, you can email Robert Suls, the EurekaFacts project director, at research@eurekafacts.com
