EurekaFacts Recertified for ISO 20252

Rockville, MD, April 15, 2024 —CIRQ, an International Standards Organization (ISO) audit and certification body that is a subsidiary of the Insights Association, announced that EurekaFacts has been recertified to the ISO 20252:2019 Standard—Market, opinion and social research, including insights and data analytics.

ISO 20252 establishes globally recognized terms, definitions, and service requirements for project management in research organizations. Processes outlined in ISO 20252 are designed to produce transparent, consistent, well-documented, and error-free methods of conducting and managing research projects.

“Our continued ISO certification is an important assurance for our clients and all their stakeholders. Anchoring all our research activity on the ISO quality standard helps our clients confidently use our research findings to make important decisions and base strategy and tactics on solid foundation. It also provides a roadmap for our teams to deliver consistently superior research, and it lets our research participants know we represent their voices with integrity and protect their privacy and confidentiality.” says Jorge Restrepo, CEO.

This certification encompasses comprehensive research project design and management, spanning from identifying information needs to developing qualitative and quantitative research designs, conducting mixed-mode field data collection, and performing statistical analysis. EurekaFacts conducts studies at various scales – international, national, regional, and local – catering to diverse clients including government agencies, non-profits, and private sector firms.

The standard, published by the International Standardization Organization, was updated in 2019 to achieve global consistency and meet the needs of technological changes.  Don Ambrose, Chair of the ISO technical committee that updated the standard, explains: “ISO 20252 is a must-have for the market research industry. Users the world over – companies, governments, research institutes, consumer associations, universities, and marketing and advertising agencies – will benefit by having global compatibility, traceability and continual improvement. In addition, it will enable clients to obtain globally compatible, comparable and homogeneous feedback and make better-informed choices of service providers.”
