EurekaFacts Recertified for ISO 20252

Rockville, MD, March 6, 2021 — CIRQ, an International Standards Organization (ISO) audit and certification body that is a subsidiary of the Insights Association, announced that EurekaFacts has been recertified to the ISO 20252:2019 Standard—Market, opinion and social research, including insights and data analytics.
ISO 20252 establishes globally recognized terms, definitions, and service requirements for project management in research organizations. Processes outlined in ISO 20252 are designed to produce transparent, consistent, well-documented, and error-free methods of conducting and managing research projects.
“The ISO certification assures our clients and the users of our research that we follow best practices and deliver reliable information,” says Jorge Restrepo, CEO. “It also assures those who entrust us with their perspective and opinion that we will represent their views accurately and protect the privacy and confidentiality of their information. In short, it allows us to deliver high quality across projects and teams, time and time again.”
This certification covers full research project design and management starting from information needs identification, through the development of qualitative and quantitative research designs, conducting mixed mode field data collection, and then conducting statistical analysis, reporting, and delivering actionable recommendations. EurekaFacts conducts international, national, regional, and local studies for a wide range of clients, including government agencies, non-profits, and private sector firms.
The standard, published by the International Standardization Organization, was updated in 2019 to achieve global consistency and meet the needs of technological changes. Don Ambrose, Chair of the ISO technical committee that updated the standard, explains: “ISO 20252 is a must-have for the market research industry. Users the world over – companies, governments, research institutes, consumer associations, universities, and marketing and advertising agencies – will benefit by having global compatibility, traceability and continual improvement. In addition, it will enable clients to obtain globally compatible, comparable and homogeneous feedback and make better-informed choices of service providers.”
