EurekaFacts Presents Research Findings
EurekaFacts presented recent research findings at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA, and at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, DC.
Presentation at CDC in Atlanta, GA
At the end of August, EurekaFacts Chief Business Officer Paul Schroeder and Research Analyst Lilit Hakobyan presented the results of the Study of U.S. Adults’ Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices of Foodborne Disease Outbreaks and Illness Prevention at CDC Headquarters in Atlanta, GA. The study consisted of 4 focus groups and 4 hybrid groups (cognitive interviews followed by a focus group). The study tested online messaging regarding foodborne disease outbreaks and food recalls. The information presented will help CDC tailor future messages to the general public regarding foodborne diseases, outbreaks, and recalls.
Presentation at the State Department in Washington, DC
In early September, EurekaFacts Research Analyst Andrea Ton, Chief Business Officer Paul Schroeder, CEO Jorge Restrepo, staff at the Alliance for International Exchange, and members of the Camp Counselors Working Group Network presented findings from the Camp Counselor Program Review Report to staff at the State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) including Kevin Saba, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary.
The report provides a multi-perspective assessment of international camp counselors and host camps’ experiences. The research study demonstrated the value of the Camp Counselor program, emphasizing the importance of the program as a significant public diplomacy tool and a positive benefit to American camps, businesses, and the U.S. economy.
