Jorge A. Restrepo, M.G.A. - Principal Researcher
Jorge Restrepo is founder and president of EurekaFacts. His skill in marketing, project management, and market analysis are strengthened by twenty years of experience in the direction of market research and marketing operations.
His areas of expertise include the application of research driven approaches to fact-based market planning and tactical implementations in areas such as demographic, attitudinal, lifestyle, and geographic information to support insight development. He has particular expertise in customer profiling, market segmentation, and direct marketing efforts and has also worked extensively with educational organizations, nonprofit organizations and small businesses. Mr. Restrepo has provided data-driven strategic consulting for hundreds of marketing research and analysis studies that cover a wide range of social marketing and nonprofit topic areas. His research has targeted a wide range of demographic groups.
Mr. Restrepo holds a Master’s degree in General Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in business with minors in economics and finance. Prior to establishing EurekaFacts, Mr. Restrepo served as Chief Marketing Officer and Market Research Director at international exchange organizations and international private sector conglomerates. Involved in the community, he also serves as a board member of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, and the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestras, board member of nonprofit Career Transitions Center CTC Inc., and is president of the board of the Hispanic Business Foundation of Maryland, and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Montgomery County.

Laura Burns, M.S.- Director Research and Analysis & Survey Methodologist
Laura Burns is a survey methodologist at EurekaFacts. Her experience in the design of survey instruments and their analysis is instrumental to primary research projects including questionnaire design, sampling design, sample size selection, quality control of fielding, and tabulation specifications.
Ms. Burns has managed large national studies at government-funded nonprofit organizations and employee associations. Her project experience includes mixed-mode studies involving mail and web, online studies as well as combination of multiple instruments across various methods for administration. She has participated in several large studies through her work at Abt and National School Boards Association and EurekaFacts. Among recent studies are the design and completion of several studies of k-12 educators, the analysis of education databases on music education standards, program evaluations and volunteer studies. Ms Burns has co-authored several articles on methods, cell –only households and other aspects of response limitations in survey research.
Ms. Burns holds a Masters degree in Survey Methodology with concentration in Social Science from the University of Maryland, a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with concentration in Demographics and Political Science from the University of Maryland, and certifications in Questionnaire Design.

Jacob Enriquez - Senior Quantitative Analyst
Jacob Enriquez is a quantitative analysis expert at EurekaFacts. With in-depth knowledge of advanced statistical analysis, he helps plan and execute high quality analyses to make optimum use of the available data and meet the project objectives. He has conducted several multivariate segmentation analyses, extensive customer satisfaction studies, segmentation analysis, customer profile development and designed several tracking studies. His experience in database programming and survey research analysis helps us apply advanced data models to our business questions. His knowledge of statistical analysis goes beyond traditional tools, as he has successfully applied innovative data-mining techniques and geo-spatial analysis to national and global projects. Mr. Enriquez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Waterloo University in Toronto, Canada. Mr. Enriquez is fluent in English and Tagalog. He is also a candidate for the Master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Maryland.

Hyunchung Kim - Senior Advanced Data Modeling Analyst
Huynchung Kim is a senior data modeling expert at EurekaFacts. With in-depth knowledge of econometric modeling, advanced statistical analysis, and mathematical modeling he examines data, develops multivariate analysis plans, examines the limitations within the data capture and analysis plan and executes high quality analyses to make optimum use of the available data and meet the project objectives.
He has conducted several multivariate segmentation analyses working with at Dell Computers, where he conducted quality and six sigma analysis. He conducted data-mining for Texas State Insurance Co, and worked to support the marketing department with advanced analytical modeling.
Mr. Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Dongguk University in Seoul, Korea, a Master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Texas A&M and Master’s degrees in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin.
Leonard Rickman, M.A. - Senior Research Analyst
Leonard Rickman is the Senior Research Analyst at EurekaFacts and is an expert in qualitative interviewing and moderating. Mr. Rickman brings his 21 years experience in designing, conducting, analyzing, and reporting opinion research for nonprofit membership, community service and volunteer organizations of various sizes. With a strong background in qualitative and survey research and expertise in the design of rigorous research methods, he brings experience and wisdom not common to less experienced research professionals. An experienced and certified focus group moderator, Mr. Rickman has conducted more than 100 research projects. He has interviewed people by telephone in 25 countries and all 50 U.S. states.
Mr. Rickman was on staff for nearly six years at the National Association of Home Builders Research Center. He worked closely with municipal officials on several national demonstrations of innovative planning and public private partnerships. Based on his work and in conjunction with planners, code officials, and others, he was a featured speaker at conferences and seminars across the United States, and the lead author on multiple case studies and other publications. Mr. Rickman holds a Master’s of Arts degree from the Graduate School of Management and Urban Professions at the New School for Social Research in New York, New York.
Michael Bail, MBA - Senior Consultant
Michael Bail is a senior executive with more than 30 years of U.S. and international management experience in a Fortune 500 company, where he managed manufacturing enterprises in Peru, Colombia and the United States. An expert in strategic planning and organizational turnaround, he brings relentless attention to the essential measures of a particular business situation, and an uncommon level of focus. He brings a strategic, business-driven analytical capability to interpret findings and uncover strategic solutions to large, complex problems. He plays an instrumental role in examining findings to place the data in context and deliver insightful, actionable recommendations for our clients.
Mr. Bail has provided quality assurance advisory and/or senior consultant services at EurekaFacts examining methods, key deliverables and recommendations for more than twenty national studies in membership, member involvement, community service, service learning and volunteering. Mr. Bail holds a degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Ball State University. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Magda Cárdenas - Analyst
Maggie Cárdenas is an expert at applying quantitative techniques and data modeling to market analysis at EurekaFacts. She conducts quantitative analysis, data modeling and index development. Ms. Cárdenas has also carried out extensive multivariate analysis of large databases using US Census data, US Department of Labor and privately available data. She has conducted several segmentation and data reduction projects to extract drivers of membership, response and demographic clustering for associations and nonprofit organizations.
In previous assignments she conducted market analysis for the Colombian Government Export Development Corporation and was involved in Statistical Process Control and Six Sigma analysis projects. She holds a degree in marketing from Montgomery College, a certification in Quality Process Control from University of Los Andes, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of America in Bogotá, Colombia, and is a candidate to the Masters of Science in Marketing program at Johns Hopkins University.

Mami Kashiwabara M.A.- Senior Analyst
Mami Kashiwabara is a research analyst at Eureka Facts. Using her excellent research skills in both the quantitative and qualitative arenas, she is able to accurately and efficiently organize and analyze data to meet the project goals. Ms. Kashiwabara applies her background in cognitive psychology to understand affiliation and preferences, placing them in context of association membership offers and. She is well trained in statistical studies and quantitative data-analysis, including the use of SPSS and SAS. Ms. Kashiwabara has completed her thesis research, membership studies and evaluations of international associations, volunteering and programs from multiple perspectives. She co-authored a white paper on affiliation and member needs analysis.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from Western Washington University and a Master’s degree in Psychology with a specialty in Social Psychology from Indiana State University. She is fluent in both Japanese and English.

Alison Wurzel –Field Services Manager
Alison Wurzel is the Field Services Manager at EurekaFacts. Ms. Wurzel and her multilingual coordination staff support our team by recruiting and directing teams that conduct telephone and intercept interviews and surveys targeting all demographics. Ms. Wurzel is experienced in coordinating recruitment for focus groups and other research participants through a variety of techniques including intercept, telephone and online recruitment methods. Ms. Wurzel’s background in Psychology helps to provide our clients with custom, targeted recruitment aimed at filling even the most difficult quotas. In related projects, Ms. Wurzel has recruited participants for national rounds of focus groups in ages 18-29 in hostels across the U.S. Has managed participant recruitment targeting ethnic minorities including Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Native Americans, African Americans and people with low literacy.
Ms. Wurzel has fielded large telephone survey studies directly and through management of contracted call centers, manages CAPI interviews for multiple projects and provides recruitment support for participants for national health-related national studies. She has excelled in meeting a multitude of recruitment quotas to ensure that our clients reach their target base by ascertaining that every measure possible is taken to provide the best quality of participant selection. Ms. Wurzel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Loyola College in Maryland. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Andres Giraldo – Survey Programmer
Andres Giraldo is a survey programmer at EurekaFacts. He conducts survey programming, maintains server infrastructure, designs the current company website, inquiries databases and protects data assets from various risks and security threats. He has experience in software development, maintains our Action Item Alert Systems. Mr. Giraldo is equipped with the latest skills and information needed to support the online data capture, web programming and business intelligence tool customization to support the program, test, deployment and data collection for the impact evaluation survey and analysis. He has completed 4 and half years of academic training in Information Systems Engineering at Eafit University.
