Research Analyst
General Duties:
Conducts qualitative and survey marketing research and analysis on various projects supporting nonprofit and government initiatives. Conducts research studies following the research plan, developing questionnaires, sample frames, collecting data, analyzing information and writing research findings reports.
Schedules and coordinates research activities with internal and external clients, providers and research participants. Manages project timelines and keeps track of resources. Conducts or observes interviews or focus group sessions, prepares summaries and writes reports of findings and recommendations working closely with the project manager. Writes survey questions and survey reports, working with statistical analysts, other team members as directed by the project manager. Edits and formats professional and visually appealing research documents, reports and research proposals as directed. Uses statistics, SPSS software and other tools to prepare charts and tables as required.
For this position you will need to have a degree in marketing, social science, statistics, business, economics, or a related field. At least three years of market research experience is required. Knowledge and experience in focus group moderation, interviewing and reporting, survey research and design. You will also need excellent command of the English language both orally and in writing. Excellent organization, coordination, and presentation skills are also necessary. This position requires problem solving skills, accuracy, and attention to detail while always keeping sight of the big picture. Good MS Office skills and ability to learn new software as needed. Knowledge of MS Office, SPSS and STATA is required. Advanced degree or work towards an advanced degree a plus. US Citizenship is desired.
